We just had our 6th appearance at WPLN's "Live In Studio 'C'" this morning at 11 am. Host Will Griffin welcomed the Paul Epp, Joe Davidian, Julie Adams, Jerry Kimbrough, Scott Hallgren & Mitch Reilly in the first half hour segment. You can listen to our show, featuring the poetry readings from Neruda, Ruckert & Dickinson by Rollie Mains, here:

Next up:

Christ Church Cathedral's "Score_Underscore", part of their subscription music series, will be held November 14th @ 7pm. Featuring live performances of music scored to picture from local composers Gary Powell Nash, Jamie Liana, and Jerry Kimbrough, this is truly a unique opportunity to understand the interaction of images and music through the eyes - and ears - of a composer. Christ Church Cathedral is located on Broadway Ave in downtown Nashville, across from the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Learn more here:

We are always offering spots in our DIRECTORY. You can submit a short resume or bio and we will provide a link to your site. We will be offering spots to those with vested interests in composers in this area as well. So if you need a studio, a copyist, some musical equipment, or even health insurance, we hope that this part of the site will become an important resource for you.

Send a special thanks to Nicole Randall for her help in getting the site designed and launched. She has put in much time and effort and we appreciate it very much. Thank you, Nicole. We would also like to thank Unified Hosting and Design and Robert Grignon for their support of the NCA. The NCA is committed to providing a means of communication among composers in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area. Let us know if you have a suggestion to make this web site even better.

We hope you will check back often to the web site to stay up to date on events for the NCA as well as events by FilmNashville, the Nashville Film Festival, and special events sponsored by any of you.

This is your community, this is your web site. Feel free to contact us with your comments and suggestions.
